Mayor Mike, Say It Ain’t So!
Recently, reporters from the New York Times spied on our Mayor’s morning commute. As you probably know, whenever transportation issues come up Mayor Bloomberg loudly proclaims that he takes the subway to work. But what he never mentions, and what the NYT reporters discovered, is that he is chauffered to an express subway stop by not one but TWO gas-guzzling Suburban SUVs. Even though there’s a local stop a few blocks from his house.
Considering how much policital mileage the Mayor gets from his truncated subway commute, this is pretty embarrasing.
